well done Lexi ... i enjoyed this. we were incredibly frustrated those first three days and also wondered aloud over and over "what the heck is the UN doing?" there could have been so many more pulled from rubble if 9,000 soldiers would have been DOING something! not that it makes it less maddening at all, but i keep trying to remember that they lost over 100 of their leadership that day and were also reeling in the immediate aftermath. hoping and praying the guns and soldiers head home ... but more than that i pray that the Red Cross and the big dogs do not keep doing dumb things that dehumanize the hurting.
